This is an exceptional rural hotel in an exceptional location. The hotel has six bedrooms (ensuite) of various sizes, a dining room, lounge and a balcony to die for.
The hotel was once the rectory of the adjoining church and lies beneath the impressive ruins of the old church and castle.
The surrounding land within the foothills of the Pyrenees is wooded, wreathed with attractive valleys, streams and quiet by roads.
Population density here is delightfully low. The nearest towns are: Solsona, Oliana and Ponts.
Madrona is just off the main road into Spain from Andorra (C-14) and provides a perfect spot for a few days respite when travelling into or out of the peninsula. Barcelona is just over one hour away by car.
A truly rural spot, the owners breed goats, grow their own organic food and collect free-range eggs from their chickens. It is child friendly and English, Spanish, Catalan and French are spoken.
